"Fast Electrode Follow Up" with synchronous welding time control are
essential for high confidence, consistent welding of both conventional
and difficult weld combinations.

The machines can be
supplied as complete systems or separate heads without weld control. The
choice of welding controllers depends largely upon the welding application.
For example, the welding of silver contacts will require very short synchronous
weld times, whereas the welding of mild steel components is not so critical.
FPE can supply all types of weld controllers from simple AC to specialist
inverter, transistor and capacitor discharge units. With the interchangeability
of welding heads and the wide range of welding controllers, the user has
the facility for high quality welds on a broad range of components in combinations
of ferrous or non-ferrous materials. The machines can also be supplied with
full automation, linear or rotary transfer mechanisms and automatic feeding
of components, should production requirements dictate. |

FPE also produces a range of miniature
and micro spot welding precision machines (see our FW range leaflet
for information). Our precision welding heads are designed to minimise
the mass of moveable elements, static and dynamic frictional force and
therefore give quick response to movement (follow up). The power supply
portion (secondary current loop) is designed such that power flows efficiently
by reducing impedance. The result is a range of heads that can successfully
be used for conventional welds, difficult welds, and delicate weld operations.
