Photograph illustrates
pedestal seam welder specially built for aerospace customer.
Seam or roll spot
welds are made by seam-welding wheels rotated at a constant speed but
with the current interrupted for longer periods of time between individual
welds. The resulting welds are actually like those of overlapped spot
welds.
These welding machines
can be pedestal type for special applications but are supplied bench
mounted as standard. Used for either high rate production lines or welding
fabrication shops.
