Potentiometer Wiper Sleeving Machine
This machine is used to semi-automate the process of adding insulation to a resistor wiper. Resistor wipers are used to measure the electrical resistance over a surface using very fine strands (legs) that require insulation. Formerly, this process of attaching the insulation to the legs was performed entirely by hand because it is such a delicate task. However, FPE has designed a machine that has achieved excellent results while increasing the output of insulated resistor wipers. Typically the wipers are manufactured from material 0.7mm thick with manufacturing tolerance below 0.01 mm.
Cable Parting Machine (Seat Belt Systems)
			This machine was manufactured for parting and fusing braided coil. It produces over 1500 cable pieces per hour and is fully automatic. The braided cable is parted and securely fused in the same operation with the diameter of the fused end being less than the diameter of the braided cable. It offers a very high level of accuracy in both the cut and fusion lengths.
			The process works on the reverse butt weld technique and was developed using our knowledge of the resistance welding process. The machine could be used across a variety of industries where wire rope is required.
